Location Data (Mileage Tracking)

MileMate is a mileage-tracking application. To provide core functionality, we may collect location data only with your explicit permission.

How location data is used:

  • To automatically detect and record trips
  • To calculate mileage for tax or reimbursement purposes
  • To distinguish business vs. personal travel (if you choose)

How location data is handled:

  • Location data is collected only when you grant permission through your device’s operating system
  • Depending on your settings, location access may be:
    • While the app is in use
    • In the background (for automatic trip tracking)
  • Raw location data and trip data are stored securely and are used solely to provide mileage-tracking features

We do not:

  • Sell or rent location data
  • Use location data for advertising
  • Share location data with third parties except as required to operate the Service or comply with the law

You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings, though doing so may limit app functionality.

Usage & Aggregate Data

We may collect non-identifying, aggregated usage data to:

This data does not personally identify you.
